It Is Outsourcing!

After years of deception, proponents of "animation services " are calling a spade a spade. They are now openly using the term outsourcing and they are using the term to refer to themselves. In a way, there is nothing wrong with "heartfelt" honesty. What is good is that they are now giving young aspirants the choice. I mean, at least, by confirming what was obvious, we can now have a honest to goodness discussion. That they are not the Philippine Animation Industry, rather, they are just part of an Outsourcing Industry that is multi-variant. Wherein labor is always under the mercy of the capital source or sources.
It is also clear that the festival that this group is sponsoring is nothing but a recruitment venue " call center style" that literally creates "factory workers" to serve what I call foreign animation studios whose main objectives are to decrease labor expenditures through oppressive contractual mechanisms, sweat shop deadlines, and cheap manpower allocation.
Now, I am not saying that you must not join this group or avoid the temptation of outsourcing. Again, what is important to me is the existence of choice. It is then up to you if you will engage this outsourcing industry. Sometimes, by experiencing the beast, you are able understand it. What is essential is you know what you are entering to and engaging with. Choice!
